About the event
Come along to the Adelaide launch of 'The Red Devil: The Story of South Australian Aviation Pioneer, Captain Harry Butler AFC' by Les Parsons and Samantha Battams. Hear about our pioneer aviator who had the first aviation business and did the first passenger flights in the state, raised money for Peace Loan efforts, and trained over 2700 pilots in the Royal Flying Corps. He was from the tiny farming community of Minlaton and his life motto was 'Luck, Pluck and Ability.'
Dr Susan Close, Member for Port Adelaide, will officially launch the book at the SA Aviation Museum.
The book will also be launched at Minlaton as part of the 100th anniversary celebrations.
