Yesterday on Radio Adelaide's (101.5FM) Inner View program I had an in-depth discussion with Eleonora about the 5th Indi Verse event, coming up this Saturday 11th April 2026, 11-4pm and my books. At Indie Verse there will be 30 indie authors with their books and a number of author talks and talks about indie publishing, including by me at 11.30am, as well as Dr Rachel Spencer and others (Estonian Hall, 200 Jeffcott Street, North Adelaide, entry free). Organised by Portia Stanton-Noble and Lily Barrett, it will be the 5th Indie Verse event!

On Inner View I also spoke my four non-fiction historical books, including my two true crime books, The Secret Art of Poisoning: the True Crimes of Martha Needle, the Richmond Poisoner, and The Rhynie Poisoning Case: the True Crimes of Alexander Newland Lee, as well as (with Les Parsons) The Red Devil: the story of South Australian Pioneer Aviator Captain Harry Butler AFC, and my latest book which is now available, a family history tale spanning generations, from early European settlement in South Australia from 1837, Paving the Way: Pioneer Ancestors from England, Ireland, Prussia and Bavaria to South Australia and New Zealand. I was very excited to pick up copies yesterday, as this book has been a long time in the making! There are many people to thank for assistance along the way!
Also a reminder that the launch of my Paving the Way book will be at the SA History Festival on the 15th May, 2pm at Ngutungka Henley beach library, it is a free event but bookings are required.
On Inner View I also spoke about being convenor of Sisters in Crime SA, a local network of crime fiction and true crime readers and writers that regularly holds events with authors. We have a tentative date for our next event - the 28th May - with Mercedes Mercier and Eve Thompson speaking about their latest books (details will be on our SiC SA Facebook group, and Humanitix).
